Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michelle is her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico in the family of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American nation by birth. From the time she was little she's always been interested in participating in sport. Gerina played golf in her first game at age 15. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her higher education in high school. She was the winner of her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament at the age of high school. As well as playing volleyball, she also competed at a state-level. 2003, she began studying at The University of Texas. As a senior, she won every single tournament that she took part in. During the undergraduate year, she received the Conference USA's player of the year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic of Year.
